What We Do
The St. Jude Conference of St. Vincent de Paul in Needles provides a unique blend of personal assistance for folks in financial crisis with food, clothing, utility assistance, transportation, medications, and (or) shelter, depending on their individual needs. We are all just ordinary people helping each other in times of trouble. Our goal is to deal with the immediate emergency so individuals are empowered to move forward to make lasting changes in their lives. For many, the cycle of poverty seems unending. At St. Vincent's our volunteers strive to provide a loving, non-threatening environment where together, one-on-one we can help our neighbors in need.
"Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat." Mother Teresa
